How To Make A Knotted Necklace

Knotting is a great basic technique that can b used for all sorts of jewelry projects. Below you'll see some of my ways of using it. The cord can be decorative in your design by using different cord colors, widths or textures. Look at places to buy cord in this previous post

Materials: Leather cord, various beads and hook closure

After cutting the cord to the desired length, fold the leather cord in half to find the center.

Slide the bead that will be the centerpiece onto the cord. Center the bead on the cord.

Make your first knot. Shove it to the side of your bead.

Make a second knot on the other side of your bead. Shove that knot until it fits next your bead like white on rice. Your bead will nice, snug and stable between the two knots.

Repeat the process...add a bead, knot, add a bead, knot until that side is finished.
